Happy Holidays to all. I am personally sending this request for a small plea for everyone to open their hearts this holiday season for the less fortunate.
Our intention is to have an annual gift-giving event at our holiday meeting each year. The proceeds will be given to a family or families who are current renters or who have purchased a home from us in recent years and now find themselves in circumstances that could jeopardize their future. It is a small but significant gesture on our part to give back to those who have allowed us to benefit from real estate investing. In the future, MNREIA members will be able to nominate families to receive our gifts and a “Brighten the Season” committee will choose recipients from the nominees. THIS YEAR’S RECIPIENT This year, the gift will go to a needy family that rents from the MNREIA member who generated this gifting idea. A minority, single mother who works two shifts, supports a family of three. She is hard working, responsible and an excellent tenant. The mother recently had surgery, was out of work for three months and fell behind in paying her bills. She has a $450 water bill due to a former landlord who did not fix a leaky toilet after numerous requests. She is under much stress and has no money to buy Christmas presents for her children. Our gift can give her some peace of mind and put smiles on her children’s faces! Thank You For Your Generosity! HOW TO GIVE:
