Since 2007 there have been approximately 11 Million foreclosures in the US, and many lenders are predicating similar numbers over the next few years and there is a whole segment of the population that will more than likely need to do a short sale or will lose their properties to the foreclosure process, which will provide us as investors a great opportunity to pick up some good deals, if you understand the foreclosure process and how to navigate your way through them.
The Hedge Funds have bought up all the old Shadow Inventory and converted them into the rental properties. However, the short sales are getting easier and some of the pre-foreclosures we are starting to see have equity because their loans were written in the past few years when people were picking up REO properties at deep discounts.
